Your union is participating in KIDstruction!
Brothers and Sisters,
This year marks the construction community’s 10th year of giving to support the mission of St. Louis Children’s Hospital during their annual KIDstruction Week fundraising campaign.
The fundraising initiative was established in 2011 by Rich Ledbetter, the Chief Operating Officer of Guarantee Electric Company, and since its inception has raised $3.2M to support those areas of greatest need at the hospital, everything from outreach programs and Child Life initiatives to research and equipment.
We are excited to announce this year’s KIDstruction Ambassador is Selah Harris, the daughter of one or our own, journeyman wireman Luke Harris. Selah’s journey is an inspiring story of courage and perseverance, and the talented staff at Children’s Hospital were with her every step of the way.
We ask that you join the Electrical Workers’ Local 1 Team this year, the 10th Anniversary of KIDstruction, as we celebrate Selah, her remarkable triumphs, and her champions, her loving family and the incredible staff at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
KIDstruction Week is typically the first week in August, and campaign administrators recommend basing your contribution on $2 per hour for a 40-hour week, or $80 in total. But there is no need to wait, we ask that you consider donating and adding your name to our team roster. Let’s show the construction community in St. Louis what we can do!
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Also, please consider downloading our customized 2021 KIDstruction Week poster and displaying it on your jobsite!
